A residency featuring New York hip-hop legends is coming to the Strip.
DJ Cassidy presents “Pass The Mic Live!” Back to Planet Hollywood's Bakkt Theater in July. Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh is featured. Shows will be held July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, and 20, with all performances scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.com.
This residency brings together an all-star cast of giants in the hip-hop industry just for this residency, with special guests appearing each week. As the title suggests, DJ Cassidy will perform “Pass The Mic Live” for each artist on stage to realize collaboration.
The show is produced by Live Nation Las Vegas and Caesars Entertainment. Steve Rifkindfounder of Loud and SRC Records.
DJ Cassidy de-hyped the show.
“Just as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford, and Joey Bishop banded together in Las Vegas to form the Rat Pack, one of the greatest shows of all time, Ja Rule , Fat Joe, Slick Rick, Doug E. Fresh and I are coming together to create an experience that will go down in Las Vegas history,” the show's frontman said in a statement. “In the great tradition of Liberace, Elvis Presley wayne newton, and Siegfried & Roy, we redefine showmanship in a way The Strip hasn't witnessed since the days of The Sands and The International. Each night will be a one-off, unique event, but of course you should wear black tie (optional). ”
