Entertainment Community Foundation Honors Sonia Friedman and Seth MacFarlane at Annual Gala April 8
This benefit also commemorates Warner Bros. Television Group.
The Entertainment Community Foundation's Annual Gala will be held on April 8th at the New York Marriott Marquis.
Celebrating entertainment professionals in film, television, theater, music and dance, the evening celebrates Tony and Olivier Award-winning producer Sonia Friedman. Seth MacFarlane is a writer, actor, director, producer, and singer. Warner Bros. Television Group is an Emmy Award-winning producer of scripted, unscripted and animated programming. All three will receive the Entertainment Community Foundation Medal of Honor.
The celebration begins with cocktails at 6pm ET, followed by dinner and a time of remembrance at 7pm. Special guests include Annette Bening, Maria Friedman, Liz Gillies, and more.

“It means so much to the Entertainment Community Foundation to celebrate Sonia Friedman, Seth MacFarlane and Warner Bros. Television Group at our annual gala. Their dedication to the Foundation and their peers in the performing arts and entertainment field is truly memorable. We are commendable and deeply grateful for their contributions to our work and to the industry as a whole,” Entertainment Community Foundation President and CEO Joe Benincasa said in a previous statement. .

Television Group at this year’s gala, especially after what has been a very challenging year for the entertainment industry,” said Chairman Benning. added. “We look forward to recognizing this year’s recipients on April 8th and learning about the valuable work the Foundation has done to help those in need in our communities.”
The Entertainment Community Foundation Medal of Honor was created on May 9, 1910 and first awarded to President William Howard Taft. The award was reinstated in his 1958 year, and since his 1992 year when Bernard B. Jacobs, chairman of the Schubert Organization, was honored, the award has been presented at an annual fundraising convention. Click here to view past winners.
