Denise Richards says her transformation into a brunette happened on a “whim” after a conversation with her daughters.
The former blonde actress, 53, has girls Lola, 18, and Sami, 20, and adopted daughter Eloise, 12, with her ex-husband Charlie Sheen, 68, and older girls go to her too. He said he encouraged him to do so. After seeing old snaps of her as a young actor, when she had dark brown hair and appeared in films such as “Wild Things'', people said she was “going dark again''.
She told People magazine: “The reason I went dark was actually because my older daughters encouraged me to do it, because when I first started acting and when[I was]a little younger, 'Cause I looked at the pictures and they were like, 'Mommy,' we think you should go dark again.
“(I) did it on a whim.”
Denise split from Platoon star Charlie, who she divorced in 2006 after four years of marriage, and married actor Aaron Phypers, 51, with whom she adopted daughter Eloise.
Dennis also told People about his family's Easter weekend traditions: Speaking of Easter, it's always an Easter egg hunt.
“Even though my older daughters are a little older, it’s so fun to see their little sister still having fun with the Easter Bunny and hunting for Easter eggs.”
Despite their stormy breakup, Dennis insisted Charlie was “always welcome” to join them.
She added: “The more we have, the more fun we have at home. We just cook a lot and friends and family come over, so it's always fun.”
Charlie recently said that he and Dennis are on good terms, nearly 18 years after they divorced when he filed for divorce due to his drinking and drug addiction.
He told People: We've been through so much together that I don't think either of us has the energy left to disagree. ”
Charlie added that he and Denise are prioritizing their daughters, saying, “The kids are the only thing that matters. We knew we had to stop the bullshit and focus on the kids.” Because they have nothing to do with our crap.”
