Jenna Dewan believes “the timing is right” to marry Steve Kazee.
The 43-year-old actress has been engaged to Steve, 48, for the past four years, but after a series of delays, she now feels ready for marriage.
Jenna, who shares two children, Everly, 10, with ex-husband Channing Tatum, and Callum, four, who is expecting another baby with Steve, told The Jennifer Hudson Show: “We've been engaged forever.'' I did.
“We got engaged and then so many things happened in our lives. All of a sudden, COVID and the pandemic hit, and home and baby number three, so we decided to go on this date.” continued to be postponed.”
Jenna also admitted that she chose to delay her wedding date due to her recent pregnancy.
She explained: “In the end, I thought, 'I don't want to do it while I'm pregnant.' But now I really want to do it, and I've set a date and am actually moving forward.”
Jenna ultimately believes in “divine timing” and is convinced that the two were waiting for the perfect moment to get married.
“I believe the timing is right,” said the actress, who was married to Channing from 2009 to 2019.
“I guess baby number three had to come here to get the whole family together. It always works out that way. I believe in God's timing.”
Meanwhile, in 2021, Jenna claimed to be philosophical about the postponement.
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the “Step Up” star told E! News: “We want to be able to plan beautiful gatherings, whether small, medium or large, but the world has other plans at the moment.
“That's the thing…we'll get there when we get there.”
