Pre-eclipse stay
Russell Crotty is a contemporary artist. Morton Brown specializes in the conservation and management of outdoor artwork, spatial planning for integrating artwork into the landscape, and the production and commissioning of public art. and Zydeco musician Sean Ardoin. Stays at University of Central Arkansas until April 6th In Conway. They are all taking part in the festivities leading up to the total solar eclipse on April 8, which Brown is helping plan and organize.
Crotty's work will be on display until April 26th. “Russell Crotty, The Art and Science of Astronomy” at UCA's Windgate Center for Fine and Performing Arts, 2150 Bruce Street, Conway. Mr. Brown will give gallery talks on April 4 at 3:30 p.m. and April 6 at 3 p.m. Brown will be holding eclipse-themed STEAM assemblies and workshops with UCA teachers at area schools on Monday and Tuesday. A public lecture will be given under the title. “Inflatable public art Luna the Eclipse Superhero” It will be held on Wednesday from 7:00pm to 8:00pm in Lecture Hall 167 of the Wind Gate Center. And he and Ardoin will participate in the Eclipse kickoff event at UCA's Estes Stadium on April 4th from 1:40 to 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Ardoin will give a public presentation titled “Zydeco Music Speaks!” at the Windgate Center Concert Hall on Tuesday from 1:40 to 2:30 p.m.
