“Malcolm in the Middle” alum Frankie Muniz is refusing to let his young son go into the entertainment industry.
Muniz, who played Malcolm in the series, spoke to Australian broadcaster Pedestrian TV about whether his son Maus, 3, will follow in his footsteps.
“I would never want my children to go into this industry,” Muniz told the magazine. “And I'm not saying I've had a negative experience, because to be honest, my experience has been 100% positive. But I'm not saying I've had a very negative experience, a close friend of mine. I know a lot.”

“And I think it's an ugly world in general,” said Muniz, who was just a kid when he started his career. “I never cared about being rejected, but I get a lot of rejection.” There is,” he continued.
Frankie was 14 years old when the first season of “Malcolm in the Middle” aired in 2000. The series ran until 2006 and also starred Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek.
The show told the story of a dysfunctional family and their comical adventures. The series won seven Emmy Awards And the now 38-year-old has played numerous movie roles.
Muniz's comments about his son's future come shortly after the release of the shocking documentary series “Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The documentary focused on inappropriate behavior on the sets of various Nickelodeon shows in the '90s.
One of the most disturbing revelations in this documentary was the following interview. Drake Bell, star of “Drake & Josh” detailed sexual abuse allegations against Brian Peck, an actor and dialogue coach hired by Nickelodeon.
In 2022, Muniz told FOX News Digital that he had briefly taken a break from Hollywood, and that as he grew up, he stayed away from the spotlight, a fearsome child star whose behavior has plagued some others in the film and television industry. He talked about how he was saved from facing the curse of the star.

“When I was on ‘Malcolm,’ I was so excited to be working on the show,” he explained. “But in the same sense, once the show was over, I kind of took a break from the business. I started doing other things. I raced cars, I was in a band, I toured here and there, and a few things. 'And I've been able to experience so many great things in my life that I'm able to look back and look back on at this point in time and be so grateful for those experiences. ”
“I just thought about it,” he continued. “Because… so many people go down bad paths, whether it's drugs, alcohol, whatever it is. I think it's probably hard to be like, “Oh, I love you,'' and everyone is asking for you here and there. And then it starts to disappear.And I think a lot of people are trying to replace lost feelings. [being] I wanted something else. And that's a real negative for many people. In my case, on the other hand, I always wanted to be the best at whatever I did, so I was always very focused on what I was doing. And that's me. ”
In 2006, Muniz took a break from acting. Pursue professional racing car driving. That same year, he competed in the Formula BMW USA Championship, and then from 2007 until 2009 he also competed in the Champ Car Atlantic He Championship. In 2009, Muniz took fourth place in the championship standings. He had two races left before suffering a late-season injury and undergoing multiple surgeries. Today, racing is still a part of Muniz's life.

Reboots are all the rage In Hollywood, Muniz told Fox News Digital that he would be “happy” to reprise “Malcolm in the Middle” with the original cast in 2022.
“I was obviously a kid when I was filming the show,” he said. “I did up to Season 7, Episode 151. I didn’t really watch the show while it was airing, but since then I’ve been watching the show with his wife. [watched] All 151 episodes…I realized, “Wow, this is what we were creating''…I was able to separate myself from being on the show and what I was watching as a fan. I want to know what my family is doing. ”
“I know Bryan Cranston is very interested in this idea. He's taking the lead on writing the script and trying to get everything going, so there might be something. If it were me, I would be 100% depressed.”

“But I don't know. We'll see what happens,” he teased.
