Taylor Swift set a Disney+ viewership record with the movie “Ellas Tour.”
The 34-year-old singer released the film on March 14th, and according to statistics, the film recorded a massive 16.2 million hours of viewing time on the TV streamer during its opening weekend, and is also the most viewed on the streamer so far. It became the most-watched music film of all time, surpassing the following hit films: The Beatles, Billie Eilish, and Taylor's past movies.
The Wrap reported on Tuesday (March 24, 19): “According to internal viewership data, the concert film garnered 4.6 million views and 16.2 million hours of watch time on Disney+ during its opening weekend, making it the streamer's most-watched music film to date. ”
Taylor's three-and-a-half-hour film premiered with new songs that were not performed in the film's theatrical release, including four acoustic songs: “Cardigan,” “Maroon,” and “Death by a Thousand Cuts.” performance was shown. “You Are In Love” and “I Can See You.”
