WAC Broadway lineup
Works toured nationwide “Peter Pan” The 2024-25 Procter & Gamble Broadway Series opens Sept. 24-29 at Baum Walker Hall at the Walton Arts Center (495 W. Dickson St.) in Fayetteville.
The production features a new adaptation by playwright Larissa Fasthorse, with music by Morris “Moose” Charlap (additional music by Jule Styne) and lyrics by Carolyn Lee (with Betty Comden and Adolph Styne).・Additional lyrics by Green), all based on James' original play. Barry.

◼️ October 22-27: “Beetlejuice the Musical” (music and lyrics by Eddie Perfect, book by Scott Brown and Anthony King, based on the 1988 film)
◼️ December 17th-22nd: Musical Comedy “Shacked” (Score by Brandi Clark and Shane McAnally, Book by Robert Horne)
◼️ March 18-23, 2025: “Funny Girl” (Music: Jule Styne, Lyrics: Bob Merrill, book revised by Harvey Fierstein based on the original story by Isabel Renato)
◼️ April 8-13, 2025: “Back to the Future: The Musical” (adapted for the stage by Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis, creators of the 1985 film, and starring Alan Ballard and Glenn・Uses original ballad music and hit songs from movies)
◼️ May 20th-25th, 2025: “MJ” (Focusing on the making of Michael Jackson’s 1992 “Dangerous” World Tour, director/choreographer Christopher Wheeldon presents a book by Lynn Nottage) production).
The season will also feature bonus shows, such as “Hamilton” from Aug. 16 to 25, which begin in Fayetteville or have technical rehearsals and performances in Fayetteville. “How the Grinch Stole Christmas: The Musical” November 12-17. “Not Too Proud: The Life and Times of Temptation,” January 22-23. and “The Book of Mormon,” February 21-23.
When announcing the season, Walton Arts Center President and CEO Peter Lane also teased a concert on Broadway with movie legend Kristin Chenoweth, but the date was not announced. Theater Squared, 477 W. Spring St., Fayetteville, opens Season 19 with a production by Lorraine Hansberry. “A Raisin in the Sun” August 12th – September 15th.

◼️ June 4-29, 2025: “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder” (music and lyrics by Steven Luttwak, book and lyrics by Robert L. Friedman, original story by Roy Horniman).

Movies at MacArthur
The MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, 503 East Little Rock, is showing the documentary. “The Cold War of Space: The Race to the Moon” Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., a look at the U.S. space program and its importance during the Cold War. cliburn concert series
Grammy Award-winning pianist Emmanuel Ax opens the event. 2024 Van Cliburn Concert SeriesFeaturing a Steinway once owned by legendary pianist Van Cliburn, it will be held April 10 at 7 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 600 Museum Way, Bentonville.
