Baton Rouge Community College is preparing to host Arts Fest XII, a vibrant celebration of arts and culture, from March 18 to 21 at its Mid-City campus, 201 Community College Drive.
The festival is open to the public.
Arts Fest is BRCC's week-long event that brings together writers, poets, artists, musicians, and the community. This year's theme, “Create. Imagine. Art: Transforming Communities Through Creative Expression,” is in line with the university's 25th anniversary celebration of him.
BRCC Chancellor Willie E. Smith said, “ArtsFest provides a platform for BRCC to introduce Baton Rouge's talented students and faculty to the Baton Rouge community and to showcase notable national talent visiting the Capital Region. “I will.” “This is also an opportunity for the community to come together in the heart of Baton Rouge to come together and celebrate the power of the arts and how it can help transform lives.”
ArtsFest will focus on mental, physical and spiritual health during the week-long celebration starting March 18th. The event will include celebrity guests, special art exhibits, musical performances, the release of BRCC-produced documentaries, lecture presentations, theatrical performances, and more. There will be performances, Black & Rouge art journal readings, receptions, and a sneaker ball.
