Registration for Whole Music Camp 2024 has begun! Our all-ages family music camp runs from July 12th to 14th and features a full weekend of workshops, swimming, camping, storytime, and more. Run by local teachers Amy and Eli Ferrier, the camp is a homegrown, comprehensive program for musicians of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Please join us.
The camp focuses on traditional string music with an emphasis on old-time and bluegrass, and this year there will be 22 different workshops for campers to choose from. For those who don't play string instruments, there are introductory classes on topics such as singing, storytelling, dance, rhythm, songwriting, and watercolor painting.
This year's lineup of teachers includes musicians who are both talented and genuinely warm people, and this year we're proud to feature primarily female artists from California. This year's speakers include Oakland's Evie Radin and Keith Terry, Grass Valley's musical genius Heather Grove, and Berkeley's Manning Music's Leah Wallenberg and Tessa Schwartz.
The camp is located on an enchanting private campus in Soda Springs, just 45 minutes from Grass Valley, and includes lodging, all meals, a private lake, instruction, story slams, and evening bonfire jams. Registration is required to participate. As this is a family camp, minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
