Kacey Musgraves believes country music has a “timeless” quality.
Interest in the genre has recently increased after BeyoncĂ© released two new country songs, “Texas Hold'em” and “16 Carriage,” but Casey says her love for the genre is deep-rooted and Whether it's “popular” and claims it won't go away no matter what.
Casey, 35, told The Cut. “It's just funny because country music has been a big part of my life ever since I can remember. I literally grew up wearing rhinestones and fringe and cowboy hats and cowboy boots. It was a 'life' thing. “
Casey has also suggested that he feels “home” in rural spaces and has no desire to venture into other genres of music.
She said: “This country feels like home to me.
“Trends may come and go in other genres, but for me there's always something timeless about it, whether it's popular in pop music or not.”
Nevertheless, Casey is happy to welcome other artists to the country scene.
She explained: “It doesn't affect what I do. It doesn't affect me. I just do my thing all the time. It's just fun to watch.”
Meanwhile, Laney Wilson recently claimed that country music is “cool” again.
The 31-year-old singer believes country music is booming and is excited that Beyoncé has decided to follow that trend by releasing her own country album.
Rainey told Extra: “It's really exciting to see the country genre grow so much.
“It's not just that. Let's be honest, this is the Western way of life. Everyone wants to feel at home, everyone wants to feel grounded. I think so.”
