Singer-songwriter Ray could later make history at the BRIT Awards if he becomes the artist with the most awards in a single year.
The star has already bagged seven nominations, breaking the previous record of six nominations held by Craig David, Gorillaz and Robbie Williams.
And the 26-year-old has one pre-announced award: Songwriter of the Year.
She will face competition in other categories at Saturday's ceremony, including Dua Lipa, Olivia Dean and J. Huss.
A big year for British hip-hop is reflected in rapper Central Sea's four nominations, and J. Hus, Dave and Little Sims' three nominations each.
The event will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo, former Capital FM presenter Roman Kemp and TV personality Maya Jama.
Here's everything you need to know about the ceremony.
What can Ray win?
The singer is nominated for Best Artist, Album, Song (twice), New Artist, Pop Act, and R&B Act.
She could win up to six trophies on the night, as she was double nominated in the best song category for “Prada” and “Escapism.”
However, she could theoretically win a total of seven Brit Awards in 2024 after she was named songwriter of the year, which was announced separately on Wednesday.
The record for most Brits attending a single ceremony currently stands at four, jointly held by Blur (1995), Adele (2016) and Harry Styles (2023).
What has changed this year?
Last year, there was some criticism because all of the nominees for the Best Artist Award were men.
Therefore, this year the Best Artist shortlist has expanded from five to 10 artists and includes six female artists.
Co-host Kemp told BBC News: “When it comes to music, it's been the female artists who have really shined this year.
“I think everyone who's nominated deserves to be there in their own right. It's not like they're saying, 'We need more female nominations, so let's put them in there.'” Really awesome. This is the person who provided the work.
“Artists like Ray and Dua Lipa are the megastars of today.”
Another addition is a new award for best R&B act, after many artists felt the genre wasn't being celebrated enough.
Previously, it was ranked in the “Best Pop/R&B” category, but that position was dominated by more mainstream artists like Dua Lipa and Harry Styles.
This year, nominations were open to R&B artists who have achieved success in the past 24 months, rather than the usual 12 months, so that we can recognize artists who may have missed out in 2023.
Artists nominated in this category include Ray, Jorja Smith, Mahalia, and more.
Who is performing?
Many artists will take to the stage at the awards ceremony, with Dua Lipa and Lay set to take the lead.
Dance duo Jungle, Nigerian rapper Rema and Canadian pop sensation Tate McRae will also appear, while drum and bass veterans Chase & Status will be accompanied by two-time British champion Becky Hill.
Ellie Goulding and Calvin Harris will team up for a special performance, while Australian superstar Kylie Minogue will perform a medley of her hits after being crowned Global Icon of the Year.
Who has already won an award?
Kylie followed in the footsteps of the likes of Taylor Swift and Sir Elton John after being announced as the winner of the Global Icon Award.
Ray was named Songwriter of the Year and Chase & Status were named Producer of the Year winners.
In December, it was announced that indie band The Last Dinner Party had won the Blitz Rising Star Award.
The quintet is one of the year's most talked-about new artists, thanks to their plunging, dramatic singles and theatrical stage costumes.
Singer Abigail Morris told the BBC it was “like having an out-of-body experience”.
