GROVE CITY – The Guthrie Theater is now open seven days a week from 4 p.m., with special events on Sundays. The Guthrie Theater has a happy hour with half-price drinks Monday through Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. The kitchen is open daily from 4pm to 9pm, including weekends.
There are different specials each night, and regulars know to ask about the “secret” menu. You might be surprised when you get a great thick slice of prime rib, the best lasagna or pasta dish you've ever eaten, or meatballs.
March kicks off with the hit comedy show starring Kevin Whelan. Kevin began her comedian career in 1997 with her stand-up in Pittsburgh. In his 25-plus years in between, he has become a comedian who tours the country while opening for the likes of Dave Chappelle, Kevin James, Jeff Dunham, Hannibal Bures, and Maria. Bamford, Greg Girard, just to name a few.
Kevin's material comes from his life, the world we live in, and the strange hypothetical situations he wishes to realize. His acts range from squeaky clean to his R-rated club sets, depending on the demands of the event.
Other upcoming events:
The movie Cabrini will be shown on March 7th and 8th at 7pm and March 10th at 2pm.
On March 9th, The Guthrie will host an “80s Dance Party” starring The Remedy.
