Promising reviews (from 2018): “May 2020 Update: The countertop is just starting to need some (slight) touch-up around the sink itself. We had to postpone the renovation until this summer, but this countertop is It held up like a champ and I couldn't be more happy with this product!
This paint can be a little tricky to work with until you get the hang of applying it. I recommend trying it on a scrap or something before painting. Once I got it, this product was easy to handle.
We recently bought a new house, and although we don't plan on removing the main bathroom until next summer, we can't live with this 1980s greenery for another day. So after reading lots of tutorials I decided to paint the counter. I love how it turned out! Once dry for 24 hours, I applied several coats of poly and let it sit for 72 hours before returning the counter to normal use. It's happening like a dream. I wouldn't use heavy chemicals (I wouldn't recommend them at that time of year), but other than that it's fine.
(I've done this before with a different color from a different brand, and the results were similar. Even after a few months of daily heavy use, I didn't really like the color and decided to repaint it.) (Kept like new.)
I think this will hold up well until I modify it, and it looks great. Definitely better than the 80's green!
Side note: I see a lot of negative reviews about this product because it doesn't hold up well for people who use it outdoors. Use sealant. Don't blame the product if you can't use it correctly. It's not rocket science. ” — Mystera
