A woman has shared her easy tips for making frothy iced coffee at home using just a plastic bottle and water. Some have hailed her as a “hero.”
Now it's easier and cheaper to enjoy your favorite frothy coffee.
If you love iced coffee, you know that iced coffee brewed at home will never compare to the frothy, cold drink you get at your favorite cafe. However, buying coffee every day is expensive and adds to the hassle of picking up coffee in the morning or waiting for it to be delivered.
But one woman said there's a better way. She can make the perfect frothy iced coffee at her home. Plus, you don't need an expensive coffee maker. All you need is a water bottle, water, and your favorite instant coffee.
In a video shared on TikTok by @laurenkeeble089, a woman pours “a little” of warm water from the tap into the bottom of a plastic bottle and adds instant coffee granules. She added 4 teaspoons, but you can add as much or as little as you like, depending on how thick you like it.
Lauren then added some honey. Honey can be substituted with other sugars or sweeteners if desired. Then I closed the bottle and did the most important part: shake.
As Lauren vigorously shook the bottle, she said, “I've been doing this for years with a little whisk in a bowl, and it takes forever. But now you can just use the bottle! It's literally the best way, and the coffee tastes like this: It's just from Starbucks, but it's actually coming from your kitchen.”
When the woman finished drinking, she poured ice and milk into the cup, mixed the coffee, shook it, and poured it over the top, creating a perfectly frothy iced coffee.
Those commenting on the post were shocked by the simple trick, with one even calling Lauren a “hero” for showing them something they never knew existed. One said: “It worked, I tried it 10 minutes ago! You are a hero.”
One person said, “Thanks to you, I made the best iced coffee.'' A third user also shared, “The bottle is a great idea. I've always done it manually in a mug and it takes about 5 minutes. A bottle is much faster.”
