It has been announced that Korean actresses Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo will appear in a new noir drama titled “Project Y.'' This will be the first time the two have teamed up in a series. Han So Hee is known for her movies and TV shows such as “Still, the Creatures of Gyeongseong”, “Still, the World of Married Couples”, and “100 Days of Prince”. Meanwhile, Jeon Jong-seo has been attracting attention for her acting in movies such as “Burning,'' “Ballerina,'' “Call,'' “Nothing Serious,'' and “Wedding Impossible,'' as well as Shoes.
According to a report from Soompi, the cast announcement for Project Y was finalized on April 29th. The story will give viewers an insight into the lives of two female friends. Set in Seoul's Gangnam district, Project Y follows two friends as they embark on a dangerous heist. They are planning to rob a huge amount of gold worth Rs 8 billion. After overcoming several obstacles to perform the job and eliminate errors, the yet-to-be-revealed on-screen characters of Han So-hee and Jeon Jong-seo plan to disappear from the city without a trace.
Han So Hee and Jeon Jong Seo are both 29 years old, the same age as they were portrayed in Project Y. The upcoming series is expected to be an exciting work with a strong sense of friendship between the two female protagonists. “Project Y” is directed by Lee Hwan, known for Young Adult Matters and Park Hwa-young. Soompi claims that the director is known for weaving dynamic elements and bold themes into his stories, stirring up controversy in the Korean entertainment industry. Perhaps Lee Hwan may incorporate these elements into Project Y as well.
