houston – Houston Independent School District said district teachers and staff received mid-year proficiency data on Friday.
The data shows the past performance of teachers and principals and indicates whether they are qualified to teach in NES schools.
The district said data showed that 125 principals have already demonstrated the instructional leadership qualities needed to retain their positions for the next school year.
In addition, the other 120 principals will be promoted to I learned that I can reach the proficiency level needed to return in the first grade. .
“We are confident that most of our instructional leaders will achieve the expected outcomes and will return to HISD for the 2024-2025 school year,” the district said in a statement.
The district said it found out Friday that of the 5,494 teachers who requested to teach in NES schools, 3,636 (66%) were already qualified to teach in NES schools.
1,526 (28%) teachers will be eligible to teach by the end of the year if they finish the year well and demonstrate the teaching skills necessary to qualify for the NES.
“This is good news for both staff and students and is a clear sign that educators are rising to the challenge of a high-performance culture,” the district said.
