A streetcar crash at Universal Studios Hollywood Saturday night left 15 people injured and taken to the hospital.
It added that the patients were being treated for minor injuries.
A state security official told the Los Angeles Times that a four-car streetcar was involved in the collision.
Lt. Maria Abar said the last car on the streetcar hit the rails as it descended a hill in the parking lot.
“There was some problem with the brakes,” Abal said, adding: “We don't know exactly yet.”
Like many theme parks, Universal Studios Hollywood's tram transports people throughout its more than 400 acres. The tram is also used for tours. It is not clear what the tram was being used for at the time of the accident.
It is unclear whether theme park operations will be affected, but the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
Universal Studios Hollywood is located in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles County, California.
It started as a movie studio in 1915 and added a theme park in 1964.
Key attractions include the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Studio Tour ride, which takes you behind the scenes of some of Hollywood's most memorable movies and TV shows.
This park is one of several Universal Studios. Others include Universal Orlando Resort and Universal Studios Singapore.
Representatives from Universal Studios have been contacted for comment.
