A United Airlines plane fell off the runway at a Houston airport Friday morning, the airline said in a statement.
The Boeing 737 landed at George Bush Intercontinental Airport around 8 a.m. and rolled onto the grass as it exited the runway to the gate, United, Houston Airport and Houston Spaceport said separately. announced in a statement.
The plane, which departed from Memphis International Airport, had 160 passengers and six crew members on board. Passengers deplaned on the taxiway and took buses to the terminal.
No one on board was injured.
This accident did not affect other flights. A Houston airport spokesperson said flights to and from the airport continued without interruption on Friday.
It is not clear what caused the plane to veer off the runway. The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate the incident.
