Bevill State Community College
Bevill State Community College provides comprehensive education, workforce training, and educational support services. We partner with industry, government, school systems, and other organizations on a variety of workforce development projects and are a major economic driver for the region.
Bevill State University has a large footprint in western Alabama. We have campuses in Hamilton, Marion County, and Fayette County. He also has two campuses in nearby Walker County, in Jasper and Sumiton, and an educational facility in Carrollton, Pickens County.
Bevill State University offers numerous employee training and retraining courses, including basic skills education, vocational, career technical, and pre-baccalaureate programs. We offer multiple degree programs in health sciences and other fields, and offer dual enrollment in academic and career technical fields for high school students. We offer academic transfer to a four-year university. Online courses are also available. This school is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
BSCC employs approximately 640 full-time and part-time faculty members with a payroll of approximately $25 million.
BSCC also just launched its “CertifyNow: Fast-Track Your Success” program, which offers a variety of online employee certification programs.
The Fayette campus recently hosted the first ever “Baby Making a Pass” for area high schools, engaging 9th and 10th grade students in hands-on activities with local businesses and industry. gave me the opportunity to. BSCC also recently launched the Dual Enrollment Student Ambassador Program, allowing older students to share insights about dual enrollment with high school students.
Bevill State University's Automotive Technician Training Program on the Hamilton campus recently received Master Automotive Service Technician reaccreditation through 2027 from the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation. This is the highest level of program certification recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence.
And the university recently began offering additional services for adult learners.
BSCC also has multiple agreements with universities to help students seamlessly earn a bachelor's degree. The school has partnered with the University of Alabama at Birmingham as part of the UAB School of Nursing/Community College Joint Enrollment Pathway, offering Bevill State University students a path from an associate degree to a bachelor's degree in nursing.
