SAG-AFTRA obtains an objective source of national viewership data for original streaming programming using Nielsen's Streaming Content Ratings service, which provides insight into the audience of shows and episodes across streaming platforms . This data and the insights gained from it will inform the union's forecasting and enforcement efforts regarding the new terms of streaming bonus provisions in television/theatrical contracts in 2023.
