defense
S Del Pettus – Troy (Via Troy PR): Pettus has Patriots vibes with his versatility in the secondary, playing multiple spots including safety and slot, but his special teams talent may be the most direct route to a roster spot. He started 61 consecutive games for the Trojans and played more than 4,000 snaps combined.
CB Mikey Victor – Alabama State University (via Gerald Huggins): After early stints at Ventura University and UNLV, Victor appeared in 19 games at Alabama State, recording three interceptions. His size is interesting as he is 6-foot-2, 205 pounds and brings a tall frame to his position group.
CB Caleb Ford Dement – Texas (via Mark Daniels)At the other end of the spectrum is Ford Dement, a small but athletic cornerback. There is some uncertainty with Myles Bryant currently not on the roster, but he could be available.
ED John Morgan III – Arkansas (via Doug Kaid): Morgan spent five years at Pitt before his final year at Arkansas, starting a total of 64 games in his career. A short but strong LB, Morgan will need to stand out on special teams.
LB Jett Bush – Texas (via Jet Bush IG): Similarly, Bush is also a small but athletic linebacker with special teams potential. He has appeared in 58 games during his career and owns a 43-yard pick-six.
LB Johntrey Hunter – Georgia State University (via Mike Reese): Hunter has better size than the other two UDFA second-level defenders, but probably doesn't have as much movement skills as them. He started 26 games and played in 52 games during his career. Once again, special teams will likely be where Hunter needs to make an impact.
