(From an Ithaka S+R blog post by report co-authors Claire Baytas and Dylan Ruediger):
As part of the AI Generation for Higher Education project conducted in partnership with 19 universities, Ithaka S+R has been closely tracking GAI product status through a proprietary product tracking tool. The product tracker includes a basic description of GAI tools marketed to higher education faculty and student users, as well as pricing models, key features, the large language models and datasets behind the tools, and vendors. Contains information about relevant details such as background. . The Product Tracker is a living document and is updated regularly as new products come to market or new information about existing products becomes available.
Today, we are excited to announce the general release of Product Tracker, along with problem briefs that explore what these products imply for the future of generative AI in teaching, learning, and academic research. Together, these two publications provide an easy way for the higher education community to keep up with developments in the field and evaluate the value of individual products.
