The post garnered several reactions on the platform. While many laughed it off, some criticized IRCTC over food hygiene. In response to this, a user wrote: “It's protein rich food. Be grateful and stop complaining.” Another user commented: Mr. Aswiniji, please do something to prevent this from happening again. Contractors do not take seriously the quality of food distributed on trains. ”
A third user responded: “The government is so kind to provide protein for everyone.”
In February, a cockroach was found by a passenger on the Vande Bharat Express while it was traveling from Rani Kamlapati to Jabalpur Junction. A photo that went viral showed a dead cockroach in the meal. According to reports, the passenger lodged a complaint at Jabalpur station.
After a passenger shared a photo on X, IRCTC apologized and imposed a penalty on the service provider.
