The new document can be found here and is eligible for the “Early Adopter Program.” This structured data is for the new Carousel Rich Results in Beta, which is “like a list that users can scroll horizontally to see more entities for a particular site (also known as a hosted carousel). Rich results,” Google writes.
Where it works. This new Carousel Beta typically targets hotels, restaurants, vacation rentals, products, and events. Each tile in the carousel may contain information from your site about prices, ratings, and images for entities on the page.

why do we care? If you have a local business, product, or event website that could take advantage of this beta carousel, give it a try. Rich results often mean your website appears more often in searches and has a higher click-through rate to your website.
