The print publication celebrates community and creative talent at the local level, highlighting underrepresented voices and untold stories that contribute to community building.
The magazine will feature and tell the stories of many artists, organisations and creatives, including Jokkoo Collective, Body Movements, Annie Frost Nicholson, SICARIA, New Horizon Youth Centre and, on the cover, Khari Lucas.
Formed by Fleur Adderley and Danny Byrne, the project aims to “pass on knowledge to the next generation, promote kindness, share experiences and create a resilient reference point.” Arca “A documentary of community activities”

name Arca It is based on the meaning of the word arc, defined as “the story of one character, especially one character that is part of a larger narrative,” and utilizes the concept as a lens through which to understand the 46 creators featured in the publication.
They have been described as “people who do the relationship-building work that is essential to creating culture in the UK – not some poor, plutocratic vision of culture hatched by politicians, but a vision created by real people making something you can believe in”.
As part of magazine sales, Arca We also offer a Community Copy Pot, where anyone interested can pay an extra £5 for a copy to distribute free copies of the magazine in key community spaces such as youth and community centres, care homes and libraries.
