“They sell it to a data broker, who then sells it to multiple other companies. And the truth is, the only way to tell companies not to do it is to say, one by one, 'Please. I have no choice but to say, 'Please don't resell my data,''' said Kevin Brazler of Puget Sound Consumer Checkbook.
With a single press of a button, permission slips notify companies to stop sharing your data. You can also tell the identity broker that you do not want your information to be resold.
He showed me his permit. This is an app created by Consumer Reports that prevents companies from collecting your data.
Why do they end with one request? This is due to a California law that gives consumers the right to access, delete, and stop selling their information.

Permission Slip can be found in both the Android and Apple app stores. And it's completely free.
