DIY WHIZ has shared an easy hack for making “infinity candles” that will keep your home smelling amazing for hours.
Luan shared the tips on her TikTok channel, which she often uses to share tips and life hacks.
“This is a candle that never goes out and leaves a scent in your home for a long time,” he said.
He explained that first you need to take one lemon and cut it into even slices.
Next, put two fingers worth of salt into an old jar.
Place the lemon slices in a jar, place them on top of the salt, and pour in the water, leaving about two fingers at the top of the jar.
After this, add some cloves to the mix.
“Not only are cloves very fragrant, but they also repel insects,” says Luan.
You can also add cinnamon if you like, he added.
Luan then added eucalyptus essence, which he said would enhance the candle's citrus scent.
Finally, he poured cooking oil over the water.
“This will be our fuel. The oil won't mix with the water and will stay on top,” he said.
After this, Luan took a disposable plastic cup (like the one left over from a birthday party or celebration) and cut the bottom off.
Then he cut a hole in the bottom of the cup and threaded a candle wick (which can also be cut out to melt) through the hole.
Luan placed the wick on top of the candle and lit it.
“It smells amazing and lasts for hours,” he said.
Luan explained that whenever you want to reuse a candle, all you have to do is add more oil.
This candle-making hack is super cheap, costing just around £1 for all the ingredients.
Luan's video, posted under the username @tipsfromluan, has gone viral with a staggering 2.6 million views, likely touching many people.
