A DIY enthusiast transforms their outdoor space in just one week – and people are loving it.
They said they would make one change to the home remodel.
Reddit user Roommateeastlake posted about the handy job on the social media platform.
“A weekend backyard makeover,” they said.
They attached photos of the dramatic changes they made to themselves.
“The photo on the left is from 10am on Saturday and the photo on the right is from 6pm on Sunday,” they said.

“My brother and I did it all ourselves.
“We're not perfect yet and we have a lot of work to do, but I'm very proud of the progress we've made.”
Crowd reaction
Other Reddit users expressed their approval of the new design in the comments section, but DIYers said they would make some changes.
“If I were to do it again I would use a higher edging. We used a 6 inch one but it would probably be better if it stuck out a little higher off the ground to hold the gravel in better,” the original poster said.
“Then I covered the outside of the circle with some pretty wooden trim I found at Menards, which was super easy and just attached to the metal stakes.”
“Amazing amount of work in a short amount of time, looks beautiful and is an amazing piece of work. Perfect for Easter weekend,” wrote one Reddit user.
“You should be proud,” another added. “Amazing.”
“They should, it's a massive amount of work,” commented a third.
“I think a lot of work was done before the relationship even began.
“This plan is perfect for a small space. I'm looking forward to updating it.”
“I really enjoy these posts. You did a great job. Looks like a lot of work went into it and it's something you should be really proud of,” wrote another user.
“Is that concrete on the left? Did they end up digging it up?”
“I don’t agree with anyone who said there was too much grass.
“Lawn adds a lot of appeal to a garden and is especially good if you have pets, but it can be quite a lot of maintenance.”
“Yes, the concrete on the left was badly broken and uneven,” the original poster replied.
“We used a crowbar and a hammer to pull it up.
“Luckily it wasn't attached very tightly, so it was pretty easy to remove.”
The DIY enthusiast said he plans to add fruit trees to bring a unified look to the space.
