He may have had good intentions, but a DIY enthusiast has horrified his girlfriend by attempting to renovate his garden.
The mum-of-two revealed on TikTok how the man “completely ruined” her family's vast outdoor space, which had so much “potential”.
The frustrated parents said one of the main reasons they bought the property was because it was an “end plot” and had a “huge” and “perfect” garden.
But a whopping two years after the avid DIYer began the remodeling process, the garden has become what some cruelly describe as a “machine garden.”
“One day he woke up and decided he was going to tear down the whole wall. He picked up a hammer and just started banging away. There were literally bricks everywhere.” Justine showed the horrifying aftermath in a video.
The next project the man came up with was to cut down all the trees before arranging for his buddies to dig up the entire garden.
“I just left a pile of mud in my garden and no plan of what to do with it.”
Justin and her boyfriend have skipped out once since the excavator came, but the project has since been put on hold and “nothing has been done to that yard,” she said.
There was one bonus of a shed being knocked down, but as Justine revealed, the rest of the glowdown was a complete disaster. There was even grass growing on the sky-high mounds of mud.
“It's embarrassing. I'm sure the neighbors will be like, 'What?'
“But please look forward to the change in the garden,'' Justine continued to hold out hope.
The mother-of-two shared about the disaster on her page and laughed with the caption: “Transformation pending.”
Since being posted on the platform, the clip has taken the internet by storm, garnering over 722,000 views in just two days.
Hundreds of similarly horrified people flocked to the comments to share their thoughts and slam the boyfriend.
One person screamed in sheer horror and wrote: “He actually turned a decent garden into a ruiner’s garden.
“Is he going to go backwards and buy a horse now?”
“It was beautiful before. It would have been fuming,” said another, unable to believe what they had just seen.
