MITCHELL — Two Mitchell School Board members have filed a petition with local government to run for re-election.
Mitchell School District officials confirmed Friday that both Sean Ruml and Britni Flood returned their petitions and that their petitions were verified. Their names will now appear on the ballot for the June 4 joint city and school elections.
Mr. Flood and Mr. Ramle represent the only two seats up for election on this year's five-member board.
Those interested in becoming a board candidate can pick up and return a nomination petition at the Mitchell School District business office, 821 N. Capital St. in Mitchell. Petitions will be accepted starting March 1st and those submitted must be returned to the school office by 4pm on March 29th. The office is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Seats on the Mitchell Board of Education are at-large positions with three-year terms.
All those who file valid nomination petitions will appear on the June 4 ballot for the joint election with the City of Mitchell.
Other members of the Mitchell Board of Education include Terry Aslesen, Deb Olson and Deb Everson.
