The Dodgers are embarking on a project of their own as they prepare to start the 2024 MLB season as favorites to win the World Series.
Their season begins Wednesday morning when they face South Korea's San Diego Padres as part of the Seoul Series. After two games overseas, they are scheduled to play at home in Los Angeles next week against the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Dodgers had a great offseason, highlighted by signing two-time MLB MVP and Japanese star Shohei Ohtani and pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who will be making his MLB debut.
Ohtani signed a record-breaking 10-year, $700 million contract in December, and Yamamoto later signed a 12-year, $325 million contract.
This adds even more star power to a lineup already filled with All-Stars, including perennial MVP candidates Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman.
