Great news for K-drama fans! Kim Shin-rok will be co-starring with Seo Kang-jun and Jin Ki-joo in MBC's upcoming action comedy drama “Undercover High School” (working title).
On July 1, MBC confirmed that Kim Shin-rok would be joining the cast, joining the previously announced Seo Kang-jun and Jin Ki-joo. The new drama is a mix of action and comedy, and tells the intriguing story of an undercover investigator set in a high school.
“Undercover High School” tells the story of Jeong Hae-seong (Seo Kang-jun), an undercover agent for the National Intelligence Service (NIS) disguised as a high school student. As he overcomes the challenges of school life, he forms close bonds with his classmates. The story becomes even more complicated as he becomes involved with Oh Soo-ah (Jin Ki-joo), a substitute Korean history teacher and his homeroom teacher.
Kim Shin-rok will play Seo Myung-ju, head of the Byungmoon Foundation and the elite Byungmoon High School. Seo Myung-ju is a meticulous and strategic leader who is obsessed with doing her best. Her character is set to be Jung Hae-sung's nemesis, adding an exciting layer of rivalry to the drama.
The executive producer expressed enthusiasm about Kim Shin-rok's casting, saying, “We are very excited to have Kim Shin-rok as the chairman of the foundation. Her character and her rivalry with Hae-sung and Soo-ah will definitely add to the drama's appeal.”
