Kesha made a surprise appearance with Renee Rupp during Rupp's set at Coachella this weekend, but something was different.
Kesha edited the lyrics of her famous 2010 single “Tik Tok” to reference Sean “Diddy” Combs.
In the original lyrics, she sings, “I wake up feeling like P. Diddy in the morning.” But at Coachella, she and Rapp changed that to “Wake up in the morning like fucking P. Diddy.”
Kesha also shared the moment and her emotions in a post on her verified Instagram account.
Combs has been accused of sexual misconduct in five separate lawsuits filed in recent months, but he has repeatedly denied the allegations.
Last month, authorities searched two of Combs' homes as part of a federal investigation conducted by a Department of Homeland Security team that deals with human trafficking crimes, said a senior federal law enforcement official briefed on the investigation.
In 2023, Ke$ha settled a years-long legal battle with former producer Dr. Luke (real name Lukasz Gottwald). She was seeking to be released from her recording contract, accusing Gottwald of drugging her, emotionally abusing her and sexually assaulting her.
Although criminal charges were never brought against Gottwald, he vehemently denied the charges and filed a countersuit for defamation and breach of contract.
“I never drugged her or assaulted her, and I would never do that to anyone,” he said in a statement after a years-long legal dispute was settled. . “For the sake of my family, I have fought tirelessly for nearly 10 years to clear my name. It is time for me to put this difficult matter behind me and move on with my life.”
