This is the new standard for Google…forget about weekday traffic during business hours. My backlinks visible in GSC have recovered some, but they remain much lower than before.
This is just Google Quake
The forum spam rankings have risen again.
Some of the GSC and results I've seen seem to suggest an update is on the way. There are some indications.
But that could just be wishful thinking on my part, or an issue with other SERPs.
These days, most of it is a mystery to me.
I’ve been doing this for 14 years, and if I were an SEO I would honestly say I have no idea what’s going on.
No, I don't think so. Volatility has increased significantly since they started their last core algorithm update. This update has already finished, but the volatility is still pretty high. They are probably connecting their core algorithm to some kind of AI, which is analyzing search results and changing algorithm parameters if necessary. This is why the behavior of the algorithm can change drastically at any time.
