I decorated a 6 yard long saree at the event. Recently, content creator Mahi Sharma took over the streets of Japan wearing a sari, leaving local residents stunned.
In the video that is currently going viral, Sharma can be seen gyrating on the street wearing a stunning blue saree with intricate golden borders. She paired the saree with a tube blouse and kept her voluminous hair loose. Some of her locals looked at her in awe, while others sympathized with her. As her video progresses, several young girls and boys can be seen filming her.

Sharing the video, Sharma wrote, “I wore a sari in Japan and the reactions were so funny!” I thought it was just for fun to try out Indian costumes on the streets of Tokyo, but I didn't expect that people would actually be so shocked when they clicked the pictures. ”

The video received over 3 million views and social media users went wild over her look. Many vilified her for wearing her “inappropriate” blouse. “I don't think it's Sally's fault,” one user wrote. Another user commented, “There are so many people asking their girlfriends to wear blouses, but in real Indian culture women don't wear blouses.”
A third user said: “Indian dresses enchant people all over the world. You prove it, Mahi.”
In February, a video of a Spanish-Indian model dressed as a bride on the streets of London took social media by storm. The video showed a model wearing a pink lehenga with gold embroidery, complementing her look with matching jewellery, and captured the reactions of locals.
