We've seen this story play out multiple times this month.
Miles Rice, Kanaan Carlisle and Omar Baro each received Indiana predictions from prominent national analysts prior to their trip to Bloomington. And each announced their commitment to IU during or shortly after their visit.
Illinois transfer wing Luke Good announced Monday that he is entering the transfer portal.
And already national analysts are saying Good will likely end up at Indiana University.
Here's what On3's Jamie Shaw wrote on Tuesday:
“Sources close to the addition have indicated that they will be looking at the Hoosiers this time (Good's addition),” Shaw wrote. “Prediction: Based on the information I've gathered, I've placed RPM here for Indiana.”
Meanwhile, the 247Sports Indiana site reports that Good will visit Bloomington this Thursday and Friday.
If Good's visit follows the course charted by other portal candidates who have committed to IU, he could become Indiana's 11th scholarship player by the end of this week. .
The 6-foot-7 Good is a career 3-point shooter of 38.8 percent, and he's even better against top-tier competition. According to KenPom, he has shot 41.2% from 3 against his A opponents throughout his career, including his 42.9% (63 attempts) this year. .
According to KenPom, Good ranks 86th in the nation in offensive rating (individual offensive efficiency). According to data from Bart Torbic, Good ranks 81st among players entering the transfer portal this spring based on a plus-minus box score of 3.8 (among players who played at least 50% of minutes). His points against substitutes in the same usage are his 2.0.
