A DIY fan shared her slouch transformation on TikTok and it went viral.
Her technique was unconventional. Because she was too cheap to buy painted plates.
But the results were amazing, and Em Design (@house.of.eddieolive) loved the way it turned out.
So did the viewers, with more than 318,000 people tuning in to see the transformation.
She flaunted her slouch posture in the post, making her the envy of the porch.
But her ideas were in the realm of the most incompetent DIY enthusiast.

This may take a little time, but it's well worth the time investment if you want this project to have a polished finish.
tools for success
Things necessary:
- jet wash
- pencil
- tape measure
- ruler
- tape
- white paint
- black paint
- paint roller
step 1:
First, you need to prepare your stoop area.
Use jet cleaning to remove any remaining dirt.
Step 2:
Once the area is dry, it is ready for painting. But this can get tricky.
Use porch and patio paint for this task. However, our DIY enthusiast did not pay attention to one element.
“You just pour the paint. It's so cheap that you already buy paint trays,” she said.
So she dripped paint directly onto the area and used a roller to spread it around.
Step 3:
Once the paint is dry, start drawing a checkerboard pattern every 12 inches all the way around.
Mark the area with tape using a pencil, tape measure, and wooden ruler.
Next, paint the squares alternately with black paint.
