A cash-savvy woman is surprising people with her stunning DIY garden makeover which she says has saved thousands of lives.
As the warmer summer months approach, many Brits are starting to spruce up their gardens by mowing the lawn and planting gorgeous flowers.
TikTok user Lauren Elizabeth is another person who's been spending more time in her garden, and she recently unveiled an amazing budget transformation.
According to people on social media, the young woman is believed to have saved thousands by wisely choosing to use her DIY skills instead of hiring a professional.
Her entire process took over two years and cost just under £600, thanks to great deals on B&Q and Amazon.
To start the garden's glow, Lauren used pots of white paint to trim the stone walls around the fence. This her 5 liter container costs her £30 and she bought it from her B&Q.
Meanwhile, for the wooden fence, a DIY enthusiast who posts under the username @laurenelizabeth_athome used a special Weathershield matte paint in a beautiful beige color. This one he also sold for £30.
While painting some elements of the garden, the craft enthusiast decided that her shed also needed to be renovated. She achieved this by painting the shed jet black using her £15 paint from B&Q.
Next, she indicated in the video that it was time to tackle the weeds. And to keep weeds from ruining the look, Lauren bought a weed-suppressing ground cover for £26 and garden pegs from Amazon for just £1. 7.
Once that was done, the money-savvy gardening enthusiast decided to start work on the brick patio and paint it black using a pot of sample paint.
The DIY enthusiast completed her patio glow-up with a generous sprinkling of kiln-dried paving sand, which she picked up from B&Q for just £7.30.
In addition to redecorating the walls with treated grit (35 pounds) that she installed herself, Lauren also ordered large bags of gravel. I used this in both my front and back yard.
This brought the total cost of the project to £569.94. However, this did not include tools, as she already had them.
The clip racked up more than 40,000 views in less than 24 hours after being shared on the platform, where Lauren regularly posts home-related content.
Dozens of people flocked to the comments to praise the DIY enthusiast and share their thoughts.
One person said: “It looks really good, and if I hire a company, I can do it on a budget of 1,000 pounds.''
Another agreed, adding: The only thing I can say is that the sage color of the previous cabin matched the atmosphere better! ”
A third person chimed in: “My grades are great, but not many people want to try it.”
Another calculated: “Well done, looks great. Probably added £3000-4000 to the house.”
A fan of Glow Up in the Garden wrote: “Well done. You should be proud of yourself.”
