His video explaining the trick has garnered over 34,000 likes, with people amazed at how scrubbing the mixture with a toothbrush actually removes stains.
“Mix baking soda with lemon juice, add a bit of white vinegar, dish soap, and water,” the video suggests.
“It can get any stain off your clothes,” the cleaning guru explained, telling us that we can apply a small amount of the mixture to a toothbrush to “scrub away stains.” “It's safe.” [and] He advertised it as “natural” and “free of toxic chemicals.” He even said it worked like “magic,” demonstrating that after enough scrubbing, the stains disappeared.
Don't worry if you don't already have these ingredients in your cupboard, as they can be purchased cheaply individually and are more environmentally friendly than chemical alternatives.
Baking soda can be bought from The Range for £1.79 or from Amazon for £3.70. Lemons can be bought from Asda for 17p each or from Ocado for 35p each. White vinegar is also cheap at Tesco for 35p. Dishwashing detergent can be bought from Asda for 69p.
