DAKboard OS is free to download, but there are several different price points for basic and extra features. Both free and paid plans can be edited on the web with your DAKboard account. The good news is that you don't need any programming knowledge to design a cool interface; you can easily edit your smart display using DAKboard's drag-and-drop style editor.
Starting off our tier list is the free account, which gives you access to basic tools like photos, news, weather, etc. You get two calendar views that are synced with Google Calendar and other popular calendar apps, though the update rate is limited to 60 minutes, which can get annoying if your schedule changes frequently.
The Essential plan allows you to go beyond simply seeing DAKboard in action and also design custom made screen layouts and use a variety of integrations and community developed layouts. This plan costs $5/month for two screens and $4/month for each additional screen.
If you want to try out all of DAKboard's features but aren't an enterprise, consider the Plus plan, which costs $8 per month. This plan is a significant upgrade from the cheaper option, offering a media library with 250MB of storage space, screen scheduling, and instant display updates. You also get access to a feature called Screen Loops, which switches between multiple displays over a period of time.
