The strong positive audience response to the new musical “Il Tenore'' led to its revival just one month after its two-month premiere ended on February 25th.
In addition, Seo Kyung-soo, who plays the main character Yoon Yi-sung, a medical student who is passionate about classical singing, took the opportunity of this musical to give an interview in 1920s Korea during the Japanese colonial period.
Seo will alternate roles with two other top actors, Hong Kwang-ho and Park Eun-tae.
Last week, Seo Seo said in his first interview in several years that he wanted to show his love for “Il Tenore.''
Initially, he was hesitant to audition considering the role required classical vocal technique. However, Seo said that when he first encountered the music and story of “Il Tenoro,'' he was deeply moved.
