Summer is just around the corner, and Rockstar Games is kicking off the season with a new update for GTA Online, which brings with it several new features, including the ability for players to have a little bounty hunting fun.
Players who want to take the law into their own hands will be happy to know that the update also adds a new feature that lets you join everyone's favorite police officer, Vincent Effenburger, in his unofficial police career. Vince has some illegal jobs to do, and big rewards await those who choose to help him.
The summer update also includes a range of new shiny wheels that players can purchase (or steal), as well as increased rewards for various modes and missions. A number of missions are set to receive the treatment, and while Rockstar has not yet announced a full list, they have confirmed that the following missions and activities will be affected:
- Taxi job
- Open Wheel Racing
- Operation Paper Trail
In addition to bounty hunting, shady police activity and big payouts, the new update also includes a host of new features for GTA Online creators, including custom drift race tracks and drag racing circuits, as well as several new units for all tracks, including drivers doing dancing donuts and crowd animations.
“Testing races just got easier, with creators now being able to start tests from a checkpoint of their choosing, along with the option to race multiple rounds in drag races before a winner is announced, plus a range of new improvements designed to empower the community to create and share awesome races, deathmatches, and more,” explained a Rockstar blog post.
The update also includes several “experience improvements,” such as increased seller mission timers to give solo players more breathing room, automatic snack refills when starting (most) new missions, and improved armor for both the Sparrow and Bombushka.
Rockstar has yet to announce when the update will be available, but in the developer's latest blog post you can find more information about the new features coming to GTA Online this summer.
