The transformative power of technology drives innovation and unlocks new possibilities for data analysis.
As businesses continue to navigate an increasingly complex digital landscape, there is no doubt that the integration of AI and data analytics will play a central role in shaping success. With Google LLC at the forefront of this revolution, the future of data analytics looks more promising than ever.
“This will enable users to do more with their data, and also remove parts of the data analysis lifecycle that have traditionally been very repetitive, mundane, long and arduous tasks. It’s automated,” says Yasmeen Ahmad (pictured), managing director of data analytics. And Google's AI.
Ahmad spoke with theCUBE Research analysts John Furrier, Rebecca Knight, and Rob Strechay during an exclusive broadcast on SiliconANGLE Media's live streaming studio, theCUBE, at Google Cloud Next 2024. They discussed the era of enterprise data and AI convergence, including Google product updates and the company's efforts to democratize data analytics. (*Disclosure below.)
Frontiers of data analysis
According to Ahmad, enterprise data and AI are revolutionizing traditional business practices. The integration of BigQuery, Vertex AI, and Gemini opens new possibilities and allows users to directly harness the power of his AI within a secure data environment.
“With BigQuery, we have an AI-enabled data foundation,” says Ahmad. “This is a unified foundation with one access control layer, one set of governance across structured and unstructured data. It’s meaningful to our customers.” [that] They feel they have a reliable foundation on which to deploy generational AI. ”
One of the most appealing aspects of Google's services is its commitment to democratizing data analysis. Tools like Gemini and BigQuery significantly lower the barrier to entry for leveraging AI and analytics. By streamlining processes and automating repetitive tasks, Google is enabling organizations to focus on innovation and value creation, Ahmad added.
“The first thing I want to talk about is bringing Gen AI to enterprise data for the customers we work with,” she said. “They don't want to take their data out of the secure data cloud. They want a direct integration between BigQuery and Vertex AI. based on gen AI.”
The future of data analysis
Ahmad said the tech industry also needs diversity and inclusion, including attracting more women and young talent. As technology continues to shape our world, developing a diverse workforce is critical to driving innovation and addressing complex challenges.
“As I mentioned earlier, [how] Young people are drawn to it,” she said. “I think they understand the excitement of this space and what it can do. We need to capitalize on that momentum. I think we should get more women into the tech industry. [is] Super, super important. If you look at all the use cases and things that are coming up with generative AI and creativity, you can also use that to get more people interested in this space. ”
From accelerating AI adoption to rethinking traditional workflows, Google Cloud services are poised to shape the future of data analytics. Ahmad said Google is leading the way towards a more data-driven and inclusive future with a focus on accessibility, scalability and security.
“That's why companies come to Google, because we have the scalability, we have the security, we have the performance,” she said. “Now that Gen AI is integrated, it’s only up to your imagination what you want to do.”
