This Thursday, June 27th, we are starting to see signs of unconfirmed Google search ranking algorithm updates and fluctuations, right after the June 2024 spam update was completed. It seems to be hotter than the rollout week of this spam update, but not as weak as the Google Core Update.
Volatility will begin on Friday, June 28th and continue through the end of this week.
Since Friday, we've seen increasing levels of chat over the weekend, and some tools have seen spikes in fluctuations in Google search rankings.
What I'm seeing is the following:

Here is what the tools are showing: Notice how many of the tools are showing a spike in volatility since Friday. Again, this was the day after the spam update was officially completed. As you can see, some tools are not showing this.

Things seem to be heating up around these tracking tools over the weekend.
SEO Chatter
Below is some of the SEO chatter about Google ranking movements that I have come across since Friday, both on WebmasterWorld and in the comments on this site.
The traffic is not very good today and the “non-updated” updates are causing some damage.
All my sites saw a drop in traffic yesterday, coinciding with a spike in Semrush.
Same here. For now, the traffic is pretty stable during the update, but it goes down after the update is finished.
Some of your competitors' sites are back in the SERPs but are not receiving any traffic.
Tonight I saw some pages reappear that had been out of the index for several months.
The update is over and I got a notification from Semrush that my sensor is high again (up to 9.1 in Japan, 7-8 in many other places). Is this now a normal weekend phenomenon and if so, what exactly is the shuffle?
My e-commerce traffic was especially devastated on Friday. I've seen it happen with previous updates, but never this bad. As with previous algorithm changes, I'll wait and see.
Traffic has decreased. After the update, the number of active users on my website dropped from 7,000 to 20 every 30 minutes…
Guess what's been happening since the update was completed last Thursday?
