The Florida State University football staff is on a roll. Not only did the Seminoles make their second transfer of the week on Wednesday; Former Auburn linebacker Cam Riley announced he will become a Seminole.but On3's Steve Wiltfong took down another prediction that FSU would land a blue-chip lineman.
Wiltfong, Vice President of Recruiting and Transfer Portal at On3, is an RPM candidate. myron charles, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound defensive tackle from Port Charlotte who ended up at Florida State University. The Seminoles are currently 91.5% favorites to sign Charles, according to the NBA. On3 recruitment prediction machineafter nominations from Wiltphone and Warchant's Michael Langston and Matt LaSerre.
These predictions come on the heels of Charles' multiple visits to Florida State this year. He was on campus for Junior Day in January and Seminole Legacy Weekend in March.
According to On3, Charles is a top-60 player in the class of 2025. No. 4 defensive lineman in Japan and a top 10 recruit in the state of Florida.
In each of his visits to Florida State this year, Charles said Florida State has been a leader in his recruiting efforts.
“I think so,” he said. “They do things the right way, and they know how to recruit and develop people while you're here.”
During a recent visit to Tallahassee, Charles had the opportunity to speak with Los Angeles Rams second-round draft pick Braden Fisk, which made FSU stand out even more.
“He said it was the best decision he ever made in his life,” Charles said. “We're not actually trying to recruit players, we're just talking to each other. The benefits of coming here and how much I've learned from the coaches. Odell [Haggins] And how much he has grown. That's big. It's huge to see Odell and all the players he has developed. ”
In fact, Charles has been obsessed with Huggins and the Seminoles for quite some time. He predicted big things for the defensive tackle for Florida State when he visited in April 2023.
“I definitely expect this program to be huge over the next few years,” Charles said, adding that Huggins is his top recruiter. “We've been talking for a while. Odell and I have a great relationship. He seems like a really honest guy and tells it like he sees it.”
Earlier this week, Wiltfong said FSU is expected to land five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty.
