Cosimo Fadda, Honorary Chairman of the CFadda Group, will receive the DIY Retail Legacy Award 2024. The new awards ceremony will take place at the 10th Global DIY Summit in Rome, Italy on June 12th at Gala Evening. This was decided and announced by the boards of the European DIY Retail Association (Edra), the Home Improvement Manufacturers Association (Hima) and the Global Home Improvement Network (Ghin). Marco Orlandelli, Managing Director of Organizzazione Orlandelli and member of the Board of Hima, will give a speech of praise.
In the 1980s, Fadda expanded the CFadda chain, which has since become one of the most respected DIY companies in Sardinia. In 2009, together with seven other Italian retailers, he founded the Bricolife consortium, of which he served as chairman until 2012. Since then, the cooperation has grown to include 18 companies, a turnover of 300 million euros, and 85 sales locations.
“Cosimo Fadda is an ideal example of the best family-owned retail business,” said John W. Herbert, General Secretary of Edra Ginn. It continues to energize me, and I can't think of anyone else but myself.” More deserving of Italy's DIY Retail Legacy Award than the widely respected and highly regarded Cosimo Fadda. ”
The gala evening will also feature a global DIY hall of fame. This includes past winners of both the Global and European His DIY Lifetime Awards. However, the Hall of Fame recognizes not only major international retailers and suppliers, but also other market players who have made a significant impact on their local communities. This is why we are introducing the new DIY Retail Legacy Award. This award recognizes an individual who has transformed his local community, creating prosperity and positive change through innovation and his commitment to the DIY industry.
