Things are heating up again in the Florida State transfer portal.
After a quiet few weeks, the Seminoles brought a familiar face through the portal at defensive back on Tuesday. Omarion “Duke” Cooper announced that he would be returning to FSU. Cooper spent last year with Colorado after playing the 2021 and 2022 seasons with the Seminoles.

The former three-star recruit from Lehigh Acres, Fla., returned to the transfer portal late last month after one year in Boulder. He was the Buffaloes' starting cornerback in 2023, recording 37 tackles and five pass breakups. He recorded 30 tackles and three interceptions during his two seasons at Florida State.
Cooper started seven of the 20 games he played at Florida State. After his first year on campus, he was honored as the Devone Darling Defensive Freshman of the Year.
After starting his career as a cornerback at FSU, the Seminoles offered Cooper a look at safety in the spring of 2023. It's unclear how Cooper will be used when he returns to the Seminoles.
Florida State also appears to be leaning toward adding the former Auburn linebacker. cam riley Via the transfer portal. Pete Nakos of On3 Enter RPM prediction On Tuesday, the Seminoles acquired Riley, who had more than 100 tackles during his time at Auburn.
Riley initially committed to North Carolina State University, but withdrew that commitment in recent weeks.
