DIY using a board and brush in Olympia
Olympia's Board & Brushes is a creative art studio where you can become a “DIY master.” Classic sign projects teach you to appreciate and marvel at the beauty of raw wood with its knots and color changes. Sand the grain, distress the wood, add stains, and use stencils to customize your project. It looks as if it has been an important part of your home for years.
The studio has all the necessary materials and tools. Think paint, glitter, ribbons, rope, hammers, and brushes. Your instructor will be by your side the entire time. If you're not looking for a rustic sign, there are other options like serving trays, planters, and clocks. It's such a fun way to make gifts for special occasions. You can also glass etch mugs, pet treat containers, bowls, and other glassware.

We have after-school sessions that are especially convenient for Griffin School students aged 9 and up. On Wednesdays in April and her May, students can come to Board & Brush directly from school. Choose from a variety of projects to play with friends or give your parents time for other things.

Erica just returned from individual training at the franchise home office in Hartland, Wisconsin. “It was awesome,” she says. Plans are already underway to renovate the store with improved lighting and new paint. “The original Flagship Studio is really cute,” Erica adds. She appreciated her helpful information and was inspired to take care of the many details that make the studio her home.
“I want everyone to check it out,” Erika invites. You can sign up individually, but consider bringing a friend to a refreshing activity like happy hour. Your child may also want to participate in their own sessions.
