LA pop artist Between Friends releases new EP, Garage sale. The project comes less than a year after the duo of brothers Brandon and Savannah Hudson released their debut album. I Love My Girl, She's My Boy.
Continuing to develop their sound, Garage Sale is highlighted by the same nostalgic themes and sounds as the LP. Building on that foundation, Between Friends more specifically mined the retro effects and characteristics of his DIY music from the '90s, referencing tracks that basically sounded like they were made in a garage. It's a sound that reflects the brothers' self-taught musical backgrounds.
“We are very much internet researchers in every way,” Savannah said in an interview with HYPEBEAST last year. “We are the generation where if we want to learn something, we spend hours online in our room and try it out ourselves. We learn things because we can build our own creativity in the process. It’s a fun way to do it.”
The EP includes previously released singles “Friends,” “Eyes on my baby,” “Pleasurelayer,” and “Really Good Cry.” With the official release of Garage salethe two released the final song “Drive Over Me” to conclude the mix.
Between Friends recently completed a 35-date tour and will join Conan Gray as an opening act this fall.
